Senior Financial Accountant (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Oversight of all banking processes and preparation of Borrowing Base documents
• Create of multiple profitability analysis reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly)
• Fully responsible for accurate completion of Finance’s portion of the Vendor Rebate Process (PPRs, PGRs & Corporate Rebates)
• Entirely responsible for the customer rebate payable process
• Manage Fixed Assets and corporate leasehold commitment schedule from a finance perspective
• Manage corporate freight accruals and KPIs
• Responsible for Finances portion of Foreign Exchange (entries, accuracy and visibility)
• Design and perform various training for profitability reports or financial analysis tools to field employees
• Business Intelligence super-user
• Book accounting month end journal entries within the specified timelines
• Prepares various account reconciliations on a timely basis
• Review the accounts and financials for accuracy and integrity as well as seeking explanations for variances
• Assist in preparing yearly audit working papers as well as the quarterly bank audits

About You

• Evidence-based decision making
• CPA Designation
• University degree in Accounting/ Business Studies
• Good business knowledge and skills
• Strong computer skills with a very strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong verbal & written communication and listening skills
• Prioritizing, time management and self-motivation skills
• Problem solving and decision making – pattern recognition, root cause analysis
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Likes a fast-paced environment; comfortable with time pressures and working in a team
• No fear of Confrontation
• Accustomed to committing the necessary time and effort to get the job done

Pay Rate

$45/hour
