Our client is a global manufacturing company headquartered in Toronto.  They are looking for a Senior Director, Operations FP&A who will be responsible for supporting change and driving financial insights across the Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Warranty and related departments.

About the Opportunity

• Partner with senior leadership to embed financial analysis and insights to drive decision making across all operations functions.
• Partner with the business to develop and enhance the operational financial planning process for monthly forecasting, annual budgeting and strategic planning.
• Review, analyze and report consolidated financial information and forecasts; gross margin analysis, overhead and operating expense analysis; cashflow analysis, and capital expenditure.
• Participate in operational planning and steering committee meetings in order to understand pending changes and to ensure accounting financial impacts are considered and incorporated into the results.
• Own the standard cost process including manufacturing and supply cost centre budgeting, raw material price setting, freight and duty estimates, transfer price setting for intercompany transactions, and changes to Bill of Materials and routers.
• Manage inventory forecasting and related business drivers including receipts, inventory warehouse movements, inventory adjustments, shipments, production, consumption, and calculation and analysis of inventory variances.
• Forecast reserves for inventory provisions on the basis of business changes.
• Work with the executive leadership team and finance partners to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and establish mechanisms to measure performance against KPIs on an ongoing basis.
• Collaborate with the broader finance team to improve financial models and business intelligence tools to enhance and streamline existing processes to compile, analyze and report on monthly financial results.
• Develop financial models to support growth objectives and to analyze the impact of changes to business drivers and costing rates on business unit performance. Prepare historical trend and run-rate analysis to evaluate potential opportunities for savings and risks in meeting current forecasts.
• Assist in preparing presentations in support of board and shareholder meetings, monthly senior leadership meetings and various strategic committees of the Company.

About You

• CPA or MBA
• 10+ years of FP&A leadership in a manufacturing environment
• High level of proficiency in MS Excel.
• High level of proficiency with integrated ERP systems.  Microsoft D365 is an asset.

Salary Range

$170,000 - $190,000/year
