Our client is a Canadian manufacturer supplying the foodservice industry. They are looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their team, this role will assist with the full accounting cycle and financial reporting as a part of the Corporate Accounting team

About the Opportunity

• Support the Accounting team with by ensuring timely and accurate completion of the monthly close processes including the preparation of journal entries
• Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for financial activities
• Post journal entries including A/P accruals, etc.
• Prepare supporting schedules for month-end and investigate discrepancies if necessary
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations in Reconciliation Tool
• Manage inter-company reconciliations on a weekly basis
• Assist with tracking capital expenditures, fixed asset continuity schedule and other related reconciliations
• Assist with financial analysis and prepare monthly reporting packages
• Ensure transactions are recorded and maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Prepare salaried payroll entries on a bi-weekly basis and investigate discrepancies if required
• Maintain prepaid schedules and intercompany reconciliations on a weekly basis
• Electronic and manual filing of documents, reports, journal entries and other Accounting related information
• Participate in various finance initiatives to streamline and improve current processes
   

About You

• CPA
• 3-5 years of accounting experience with full cycle
• Experience in manufacturing or industry dealing with tangible products (i.e. CPG, retail, etc.)
• Well versed with excel
• Experience with fixed assets (i.e. working papers, continuity schedule, reconciliation, etc.)

Salary Range

$75,000 - $80,000/year
