Senior BI Developer (Closed)

About the Company  

Our client is a 70 year old organization specializing in financial services, and they are looking to hire a Senior BI Developer. 

About the Opportunity 

• The Senior BI Developer is responsible for development and support of various business intelligence applications 

• Our client provides a broad range of financial services for hedge funds, administration, private equity, and real estate 

• In order to deliver these services to their clients, multiple teams work together on tasks to complete items to service these scheduled deliverables (ie, fund calculations, performance, etc) 

• Managing the delivery of these products is critical, so our client has developed an internal web application workflow tool that is used by the business to track the progress of activities to complete their client deliverables 

• Senior Management needs a simple way of reviewing the progress of these deliverables, so the the BI Developer will be responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting the REPORTS portion of this internal tracking tool, including dashboard metrics 

• Currently there are already 15 built dashboards that support different groups. Being able to deliver reports in an efficient manner is key 

• The internal tool is built off of Qliksense, so that is an essential skill that is required for the position 

About You 

• 5+ years of experience in BI Development, and able to work with business to take requirements (strong communication skills) 

• 3+ years of experience with Qlik Sense or 2+ years of Qlik Sense if you have exposure to Qlik View 

• 3+ years of experience with relational databases working with large amounts of data from multiple data sources (SQL, know how to efficiently extract large amounts of data) 

• Experience with Unix/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting (long term plan to move data from database to AWS) 

• Knowledge of cloud technology, preferably AWS 

• Exposure to Power BI 

• Python experience is an asset (in the future when they move to AWS, they will need to build ETL processes to move data from the database to cloud, and use Python for that data manipulation) 

Salary Range 

$110,000/year
