Senior Associate, Finance (Closed)

About the Company

Our client is an established financial services/ asset management firm and are looking to hire a Senior Associate to join their Finance team. This role will report to the Manager, Finance and will play an important role in supporting the firm’s asset management accounting and reporting both internally and externally.

About the Opportunity

• Execute daily accounting tasks, including preparing and entering journal entries, and coding of invoices
• Prepare monthly journal entries for various asset manager entities
• Lead monthly reconciliations of Revenues, Accounts Receivable and Intercompany balances, and other general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly lead sheets and supporting schedules
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting
• Analyze income statement accounts and explaining and documenting variances
• Prepare quarter end reporting package for consolidation
• Prepare billings to affiliated funds and intercompany partners
• Calculate sales and income tax provisions
• Assist Financial Reporting team with public financial statement notes and MD&A disclosures
• Assist with the preparation of the standalone separate regulatory financial statements and working capital calculations
• Provide audit and tax assistance

About You

• CPA or CPA in progress
• 3+ years’ of relevant accounting experience (either in audit or in industry)
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (direct and efficient)

Salary Range

$75,000 - $90,000/year
