Senior Analyst, Indirect Tax (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Prepare indirect tax returns and other indirect tax filings, and respond to government notices
• Analyze transactional data to ensure mitigation of indirect tax risk
• Maintain tax configuration (in SAP and OneSource)
• Assist with testing SAP (and other) program change requests to ensure the tax changes are functioning correctly
• Support internal and external stakeholders with indirect tax issues (e.g., invoice processing, billing, etc.)
• Assist with Government indirect tax audits by preparing schedules and obtaining supporting documentation
• Review manual Accounts Receivable invoices (including equipment sales)
• Issue and maintain exemptions for vendors and customers
• Prepare indirect tax account reconciliations
• Monitor, communicate, and implement changes in indirect tax legislation

About You

• Strong Microsoft Office skills (including strong proficiency in Excel) and computer skills including SAP
• University degree in Business or equivalent, with a specialization in accounting
• CPA Designation
• Previous industry, accounting firm corporate income or indirect tax experience
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in a performance-focused and results-oriented environment
• Highest ethical behaviour

Pay Rate

$40/hour
