About the Opportunity
- Ensure expense reimbursements are in compliance with internal policies and procedures prior to payment
- Review and approve the work performed by Senior Associate, Corporate Accounting and determine if further investigation is required
- Ensure appropriate and timely follow-up of outstanding transactions and expense report audit enquiries
- Review documentation of exceptions
- Exercise judgement when making decisions and escalate appropriately to Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting
- Report on outstanding, aged transactions each week recommending improvements and send to management
- Report on expense reimbursement reporting out of Concur
- Lead Taxable benefit reporting ensuring Tax and HR requirements are met
- Identify and recommend key operational metrics for expense reimbursements
- Lead and review the documentation of desktop procedures for expense reimbursement processing and compliance activities
- Ownership of Expense policy and guidelines and all policies related to Expense reimbursement (this includes review and maintaining the Expense Guidelines and Policies for effectiveness and recommend changes)
- Lead the relationship with travel partner ensuring operational effectiveness and monitor service levels
- Assist in operational and month-end activities as needed
- Other Ad hoc responsibilities
About You
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Finance
- University degree in Accounting or a related discipline
- Completion or enrolment in CPA, or comparable work experience
- Concur Expense and Travel knowledge will be an asset
- Strong analytical skills and results oriented
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
- Ability to manage high volumes of work while meeting tight deadlines
- Intermediate Microsoft Product User (Excel, Word)
- Organized and thorough in managing tasks
- Knowledge of accounting standards & principles
- Must be able to work independently with minimal direction as well as part of a team
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Identify and implement process improvements where necessary
- Willing to assume other responsibilities as required
Salary
$85,000/year
