Senior Accountant - Part Time

About the Opportunity

  • Maintain the general ledger (by class)
  • Reconcile key balance sheet (including bank), income, and expense accounts, monthly
  • Investment accounting, monthly
  • Prepare financial statements, quarterly
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and forecast
  • Provide support in the statutory reporting process, quarterly
  • Reconcile database to accounting data, quarterly
  • Process and prepare monthly government remittances
  • Address ad hoc requests as they arise

About You

  • Accounting Designation
  • Full cycle accounting experience, including month-end close of full business
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related accounting experience with insurance industry experience
  • Sound knowledge of IFRS and IASB
  • Experience with external audits
  • Sound knowledge of Word and Excel (including VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, sumif as examples)
  • Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills

Pay Rate

$40-$45/hour
