Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support reporting to the senior manager
• Produce monthly reports, including financial statements and variance analysis
• Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts such as a bank, prepaid, fixed assets, and inventory monthly
• Calculate cost and profit for all aspects of the business
• Review and correct landed costs, freight, duty, and warehouse charges within the ERP system
• Download inventory stock status reports from CAD and US warehouse websites and reconcile with inventory valuation report in Chempax each month, send purchasers any discrepancies found to resolve.
• Upload BYK rebates into the ERP system, monthly
• Maintain historic records; reconcile and provide information in support of management requests
• Assist AR and AP with work overflow and year end processes
• Backup to Credit Manager as required

About You

• Post-secondary education is required, preferably in Accounting or Business; enrollment in the CPA program preferred
• Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience within a manufacturing or similar environment, working extensively with accounting ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are required
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

Salary

$80,000/year
