About the Opportunity
- Responsible for reconciling transactions
- Investigate any discrepancies and work with various departments to rectify and troubleshoot issues
- Under the direction of the Manager of Accounting and working with a pre-defined template, assist in preparing documentation of the reconciliation processes
- Financial Reporting - Performing Arts Division
- Reconcile monthly, GL accounts related to deferred revenue, box office and bar revenue
- Participate in interim and year-end audits and work directly with auditors with respect to providing required documents and schedules
About You
- 5 years’ experience in a computerized finance/accounting department for a moderately complex business
- Accounting and Finance related degree/diploma and enrollment in a recognized accounting certification program would be ideal
- Previous work involvement in reconciliations and analysis
- Deadline oriented
- Accurate with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to understand the processes and the business in order to provide crisp explanations around reconciliation issues and variances around business results
- Organized and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookup functions, if statements etc.
- Working knowledge and understanding of computer-based finance and accounting system with a preference for MS Dynamics – NAV
Pay Rate
$35/hour
