Senior Accountant - 6 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Prepare financial reports, reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Support and lead Accounts Receivable Team as required
• Support preparation of invoices, pre-bills to customers
• Support preparation of month end summary billings to clients
• Review Accounts Receivable aging listings to effectively manage collection of receivables
• Prepare work instructions for team members
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests
• Establish effective and cooperative working relationships with internal departments
• Assist with month end close, year end close and audits
• Other duties as assigned

About You

• University degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA designation or enrollment is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in high volume Accounting departments
• Specialization in Accounts Receivable and Billings is preferred
• Team Lead experience is an asset
• Financial reporting and statement preparation experience
• Knowledge of Canadian and US sales taxes is preferred
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience with Sage Business Vision and/or Spire, Filemaker an asset

Pay Rate

$25 - $28/hour
