About the Opportunity

• Work closely with the Accounting Manager, Finance to provide support in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the financial statements.
• Assist with month end journal entries and ensure entries are booked in time for monthly financial statements
• Assist with accounts payable and revenue functions
• Assist with balance sheet accounts reconciliation
• Assist with investigation of variances and provide monthly variance commentary of financial statements
• Assist in the annual and interim audit, including completion of the supporting schedules
• Ensure annual filings are completed on time including T3010 return, HST filings and T4A
• Assist in preparing decks for the Audit & risk Committee and the Board of Directors meetings upon request
• Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of annual audit schedules
• Assist with the monthly reconciliations of various accounts
• Create reports from the accounting system to fulfill the needs of stakeholders
• Performs ad-hoc financial analysis
• Develop or recommend actions to raise standards and improve operational effectiveness and consistency through process, technology and/or people capability development

About You

• CPA designated
• 5+ years of progressive experience in a full cycle accounting position
• Accounting/Finance experience in the NFP sector preferred
