Our client is a well-established organization in the natural resources industry. They are looking for a Senior Accountant who will assist with the review and preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. The position will be integral in supporting the month-end close and reconciliation process.

About the Opportunity

• Carries out daily accounting transactions for projects (intercompany transactions, bill payments, bank entries and monthly accruals)
• Prepares and manages monthly reconciliations for assigned entities
• Ensures all deadlines are met during the month end close process
• Prepares accounting analysis and financial statements under US GAAP
• Prepares and coordinates management reporting with various stakeholders across the organization
• Analyzes financial information and communicate results on monthly basis
• Assists in the preparation of tax returns
• Implements best practice initiatives
• Participates in the implementation and improvement of accounting software
• Enforces a strong internal control environment
• Answers ad-hoc requests for internal and external reporting for stakeholders
• Performs other related duties as assigned (e.g., new processes, procedures, and technology implementations)

About You

• CPA or CPA in progress
• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong corporate accounting experience - IFRS or US GAAP
• Effective communication skills

Salary Range

$80,000 - $90,000/year
