Our client is a well-established organization in the renewable energy industry. They are looking for a Senior Accountant who will  assist with the review and preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. The position will be integral in supporting the month-end close and reconciliation process.

About the Opportunity

• Carry out daily accounting transactions for US projects under development (intercompany transactions, bill payments, bank entries and monthly accruals)
• Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliations for assigned entities
• Ensure all deadlines are met during the month end close process
• Track and report project costs during the construction phase
• Prepare accounting analysis and financial statements under US GAAP
• Prepare and coordinate management reporting with various stakeholders across the organization
• Analyze financial information and communicate results on monthly basis
• Ad hoc projects as assigned
• Assist in the preparation of corporate tax returns
• Implement best practice initiatives
• Participate in the implementation and improvement of accounting software
• Enforce a strong internal control environment

About You

• CPA or CPA In Progress
• 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong corporate accounting experience - IFRS or US GAAP
• Effective communication skills

Salary Range

$80,000 - $85,000/year
