Securities Accounting Analyst - 10 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the AVP, Securities Accounting, the Accounting Analyst is a key member of the Securities Accounting team. This position’s primary focus will be assisting with the User Acceptance Testing of the new Securities Accounting system. This position may also be assisting with day-to-day tasks to ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of accounting results. 

• Assist with UAT of implementation of new Securities AABOR system. Requires a thorough understanding of investment accounting and financial instruments
• Ensure accounting treatment for securities are in line with regulatory requirements across multiple accounting base
• Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of accounting results for the month end, quarter end, and year end close processes
• Assist with day-to-day operational type functions related to cash/suspense, securities transfers, corporate actions and other general inquiries

About You

• 3-5 years of experience in the investment/insurance industry preferably within a securities accounting area
• CPA Designated or in progress
• Solid understanding of financial accounting standards, insurance and investment management industry
• Attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong MS Excel

Pay Rate

$35/hour
