About the Opportunity

  • Develop actionable building blocks that provide a validated link between forecasting and P&L’s in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Ensure the building blocks to the forecast are clear, comprehensible to a mass audience, and accurate to meet business needs
  • Perform a monthly review of key performance indicator measures based on sales & marketing’s changing plans as well as performance in market
  • Lead monthly forecasting meetings which enhance the sales and marketing teams most recent forecast, including associated assumptions, risks and opportunities
  • Maintain separate 5 year Sales & Marketing channel and brand forecasts in the supply chain Management tool
  • Represent the National sales forecast to all stakeholders, and required to be able to explain current and future trends built into the forecast from the sales channel to Corporate level
  • Simplify and standardize Sales forecasting and reporting; act as key support for cross functional teams including: Sales VP’s, Sales Managers, Demand Planning and Marketing
  • Recommend best practices regarding the forecasting processes and policies
  • Apply a continuous improvement approach to work processes, including process automation & reporting, where applicable
  • Proactive in working with Business insights in researching/analyzing issues, defining opportunities for process improvements and making recommendations
  • Identity and assist in the re-engineering, improvement or replacement of business processes and associated technology
  • Reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (no direct reports)
  • National Sales Teams – Actively collaborates with EVP’s, Directors and Senior Managers in all Business to Business channels (national coverage - all across Canada) and all Business to Consumer channels (Direct Sales). This includes emerging channels (International Territories)
  • National Marketing Teams – Actively collaborates with EVP, Directors, and Brand Managers across the full spectrum of the product portfolio
  • National support functions – Actively collaborates with Director of Finance, National Demand Manager, and Business Insights to support the development and maintenance of revenue, margin and volume level forecasts

About You

  • Bachelor's degree - Economics, Business, Sciences, Math or Accounting
  • Accounting designation preferred
  • Strong technical skills with web based forecasting tools, Oracle, Oracle BI, Supply Chain Web based tools, excel
  • Experience with demand management tool preferred
  • Forecasting experience with marketing, sales or demand planning
  • Ability to handle the complexity of a large number of SKUs and Channels
  • Capable of leading conversations to influence and drive better decisions with multiple partners, often at the Director and VP levels
  • Understands and applies general business concepts and principles including profit and loss statements, cost-benefit analysis, and return on investment calculations to drive informed decisions
  • Handles problems or conflicts with others openly and directly. Has the conviction to take risks, make decisions and call out when needed to achieve desired business outcomes

Pay Rate

$110,000/hour
