About the Opportunity

• Prepare and issue client invoices
• Process cash receipts and follow up on NSF’s
• Prepare and analyze Accounts Receivable aging reports
• Support Collections Manager by providing assessment on clients that are reaching credit limits
• Maintain accounts receivable, client records and files. Create new clients and liaise with customers if needed
• Book journal entries and prepare accounts reconciliations for Accounts Receivable, accrued revenue, deferred revenue, intercompany, related party and etc
• Ability to work and communicate with the sales teams to ensure accuracy of customer billings and revenues
• Calculate and book commission on commercial advertising sales. Coordinate with payroll for commission payout. Reconcile and maintain commission payable General Ledger accounts
• Monitor revenue vs. budget and prepare variance analyses to be presented to management group
• Assist with cash flow analyses
• Assist with preparation of budget and quarterly forecast for revenue
• Support monthly and quarterly consolidation process
• Support annual financial audit processes and government audits
• Help improve internal control procedures regarding billing process
• Other Finance related duties as assigned

About You

• Ideal candidate is an individual is working towards their CPA designation
• Ideal candidate has a solid understanding of GAAP
• A minimum of 2 yrs of solid experience in billing, Accounts Receivable, journal entries and account reconciliations
• Experience with Great Plains is an asset
•  Experience with Salesforce or equivalent database management software is an asset
• Strong business acumen
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of solutions; advanced knowledge of Excel
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong communication in English (both written and verbal)
• Independent worker who is able to think outside the box and has a Can-do attitude

Salary

$55,000 - $70,000/year
