Position Title: Retail Accountant

About the Opportunity

• Act as a liaison between accounting and brick-and-mortar/e-commerce retail
• Responsible for accurate and timely reconciliation of store transactions
• Ensure accurate recording of store-related expenses including cost center allocation and expense classification
• Responsible for monthly reconciliation of all Company Bank accounts
• Weekly reconciliation of all store tender deposits. Analysis and follow up of all tender discrepancies with Retail teams
• Performs period-end financial close responsibilities. Duties may include preparing journal entries, coding invoices and expense reports
• Manage business license/local city licenses for all retail locations, ensuring traceability of expenses and timely submission of payments to various local authorities globally
• Performs and/or reviews various Lease Accounting functions, including but not limited to lease tracking database
• Analyzes accounts, records, and reports
• Investigates and resolves any accounting issues within the area of responsibility
• Audit support including but not limited to running reports, preparing schedules
• Perform other duties as required

About You

• 3+ years experience in an accounting role
• Bachelor of Commerce/Business Degree
• Retail and e-commerce experience
• Comfortable working with multiple bank account
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics an asset
• Familiarity with Google suite of tools including Gmail, Google sheets

Salary

$60,000 - $70,000/year
