QA Analyst (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Contract may potentially turn into full time
• Testing highly transactional applications while creating test cases for new code and enhancements to existing code
• Develop manual tests on all applications while tracking in the FAQ Database
• Integration testing of new and existing code
• Manage development tickets in defect tracking system and report major issues to the team lead
• Work in a strong team-based environment while managing your assigned tasks

About You

• Experience as a QA Analyst testing web-based applications (not desktop apps)
• Experience testing API and web services
• Experience with SoapUI is an asset
• Create test cases and scripts preferably in Java
• Experience working with complex integration
• Ability to create SQL queries to validate application behavior at the database level
• Experience with large transactional systems as an example within the Financial or Commercial sector
• Reliable and able to work during regular business hours or as required to finish a project
• Willing to learn from other team members, be open to the ideas of others, and also be willing to take direction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic, and have high standards in product quality control
• Self motivated, energetic and goal oriented, team player
