Purchasing Analyst (Closed)

Reporting to the Purchasing & Inventory Manager, the Purchasing Analyst role is a new position being created in response to the dynamic growth experienced in the last few years. This role is part of a team where analytics, insights and attention to details are regarded as essential resources.  The Purchasing Analyst will be responsible for interpreting demand forecasts and purchase order preparations.  This role will assist with inventory management, turnover improvements and coordinating logistics. The successful candidate will be a part of a well-established Team where they will learn a great deal in the field as well as have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and greater inventory turns

About the Opportunity

Purchase Orders:

• Initiate Purchase Orders on a regular basis

Logistics:

• Coordinate with Partners to import and receive stock

Receiving:

•  Ensure proper documentation and recording entries are maintained

Reporting:

• Create standard reports to help the sales team identify opportunities to improve inventory turns

Communication:

• Having regular meetings with the sales and product teams to share the findings

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in a field such as business, supply chain or related field
• Minimum 2yrs of experience in a similar role
• Sage or D365 experience considered an asset but not a requirement
• Experience with data analysis and purchasing

Salary

$55,000 - $60,000/year
