About the Opportunity

• Prepare journal entries
• Maintain tenant recovery module in accounting system and ensure it agrees to recovery methodology
• Prepare monthly operating costs and tax recovery estimates
• Review and analyze financial statements, recovery ratios and provide variance analysis
• Analyze and balance sheet accounts and maintain working papers
• Prepare final annual operating costs and tax recovery adjustments, including preparing CAM audit statements
• Provide information for audit related queries
• Provide information to property appraisers on a timely basis
• Assist with property tax appeals
• Ensure that monthly reporting deadlines are met
• Ensure “Actions Required” are completed according to procedure
• Assist in completion of annual budget
• Assist Accounting Manager, Controller and CFO with special projects

About You

• University degree or college diploma
• 3 years’ experience in property accounting
• Strong interpersonal skills and good understanding of accounting practices
• Strong computer skills, with a good knowledge of MS Excel (pivot table and V lookups) and MS Word
• Bilingual skills (French and English) would be an asset
• MRI or Yardi an asset

Salary

$70,000 - $85,000/year
