About the Opportunity

  • Work with stakeholders at the Provincial level managing a massive Health care initiative
  • Work side by side with senior stakeholders, CEO’s and company leaders, in an effort to develop and strategize development plans with respect to operational applications/technology
  • You will lead a technology and operations focused project
  • Develop and present formal business cases for system selection, replacements and enhancements
  • Understand application and integrated technologies at low and high levels
  • Experience in leading and implementing new operation processes and initiatives
  • Implement operational workflows, using the latest technologies and solutions in the Health Care space
  • You must be comfortable taking a platform from selection, design and completion while working with multiple high-profile stakeholders (Executive and CEO level), users, government agencies, etc.
  • Ensure that all partners (4-6) deliver and implement the joint platform successfully, aligning schedules and deliverables while ensuring that everyone is on track with achieving their goals
  • You will have strong experience working within a peer hum with representation from each hub in the form of a PM
  • Identify, evaluate and recommend commercially available applications to support operational strategy
  • Works collaboratively with functional areas to identify software application needs and business solutions
  • Provide detailed project planning for the development and execution of business solutions
  • Manage all aspects of the product development life cycle while maintaining IS Change Management Standards
  • Monitor project actions steps, ensuring time frames and outcomes are met while also managing a team of business analysts
  • You will be charged with measuring and monitoring implementation milestones and outcomes, providing documented updates to all involved
  • Lead the development and implementation of application development to gain efficiencies
  • Develop policies and procedures for system applications ensuring compliance to business standards
  • Oversee the development and implementation of system enhancements and solutions to meet ongoing business and user needs
  • Identify staff with strong leadership potential and actively support them in self-development
  • Identify and support opportunities for professional development within team members
  • Facilitate and maintain team development and build team capacity
  • You will ensure that resource allocation is defined and also interview and select team members while overseeing all on-boarding, orientation and training

About You

  • Experience working in the Public Sector at a Provincial level will be required for this role
  • Experience within Healthcare at the Systems Applications and Integrations level will be strongly required
  • A degree in Computer Science, Business or other related field of study
  • PMI or Agile management certifications are an asset but experience will be more important
  • 8+ years’ experience managing the development, selection and implementation of business solution applications
  • You must be solid with your understanding of technical and business issues
  • Experience with developing user-based portals, chat bots, call centers and telecommunications, workflow platforms, feedback systems, etc.
  • You must have extensive experience with developing and bringing to market technology products/solutions
  • You must be able to clearly demonstrate a strong ability to lead continuous improvements in business processes
  • Strong proven IS Management skills are required
  • Demonstrated team, leadership and management skills are required
  • Knowledge of end-to-end product management is required
  • You must be a strong leader, who can drive towards results by being political in your approach and focused purely on delivery
  • You will need to be a strong communicator with an impeccable level of engagement, and responsiveness
  • Conflict resolution will be critical to your success
