Project Accountant - 6 Month Contract

About The Opportunity  

• Accountable for monthly cost transfers from inventory to specific projects, reconciliation and analysis; 
• Deadline driven, focused on completeness and accuracy of report and variance analysis 
• Post month end journey entries 
• Streamline process; Work with business partners to implement process changes 
• Collaborate with business partners to gain insights of business activities impacting inventory valuations 
• Responsible for project setups, changes, closures and capitalizations 
• Reconcile inventory and project data; Analyze and investigate variance 
• Prepare monthly reconciliation working paper and analysis 
• Other duties as assigned 

About You  

• Minimum of 2 years of project accounting experience or general accounting experience 
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills 
• Ability to meet deadline 
• Accounting degree or equivalent experience is an asset 
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills 
• Thrives in a collaborative team focused environment; adaptive and enthusiastic about change 
• Positive “can do” attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity 

Pay Rate 

$26/hour
