Payroll Specialist - 12 Months (Closed)

About The Opportunity 

• Provide efficient and effective full cycle hourly and salaried payroll services 
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert regarding all Canadian payroll inquiries 
• Understand, explain, and apply payroll and benefit policies, principles, legislation and multiple collective agreement provisions; 
• Verify completed payroll and review reports for accuracy and completeness before distribution; 
• Prepare manual payroll cheques in compliance with established corporate procedures and update the payroll system for accurate governmental reporting; 
• Prepare remittances and reconcile payroll deductions such as union dues, charity, statutory deductions, pension, all 3rd party deductions, ROE’s etc. 

About You 

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant payroll experience 
• ADP Workforce Now experience is a strong asset, but open to other ERP's 
• Proven ability as an advanced user with MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's) 
• (PCP) designation preferred 

Salary 

$67,000 - $73,000/year
