About the Opportunity

Payroll Administration:

  • Accurately and efficiently administer the bi-weekly payroll for all employees through ADP WorkForceNow, while ensuring compliance with governmental requirements
  • Process accurate and timely payroll adjustment and deductions and changes in compensation
  • Ensure all salaries are paid in an accurate and timely fashion to all employees
  • Creates Records of Employment in ADP and ensures its submission on a timely and accurate basis
  • Prepare adhoc, monthly, quarterly and annual reports including reports for year-end cycle and year end processing, relating to payroll
  • Provide professional and excellent customer service to all employees regarding payroll inquiries, researching and troubleshooting all related issues
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of payroll transactions for audit purposes, in accordance with statutory requirements and Organization policies and procedures
  • Prepare monthly remittances and cheque requests for garnishments, WSIB, EHT, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain financial estimates of vacation and severances in accordance with Organization policies, as well as HR approvals, to ensure precise payroll records are maintained
  • Maintain internal controls, audit trails for all payroll transactions and payroll files with strict confidentiality
  • Prepare supporting schedules and inputs data into ADP for the year-end T4 processing
  • Review and verify the master file and pay data entries, YTD totals, and file amendments
  • Ensure employees’ time and attendance in ADP are processed on an accurate and timely basis, and reports provided to stakeholders as required. Also answers employees’ questions related to time and attendance on a timely and accurate manner

Group Benefits Administration:

  • Ensure employee benefit enrolments are accurately processed to enable correct deductions and are processed through payroll in compliance with internal policy
  • Work with HR department to ensure coordination of benefit payments while employees are on Long Term Disability
  • Review monthly benefit invoices for accuracy in billing and reconcile benefit deductions to benefit coverage type (carrier reports)
  • Prepare monthly remittances and cheque requests for group insurance payments
  • Handle all financial inquiries regarding benefits

Pension Administration:

  • Prepare monthly remittances and cheque requisitions for pension plans
  • Assist employees with pension inquiries/forecasts relating to financial matters

General Duties:

  • Assist other members of the services team as and when required
  • Stand-in for service team members during absences and vacation
  • Work with external auditors as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

About You

  • Excellent communication skills, Written and Oral
  • Strong desire to learn payroll
  • Experience with ADP WFN or any ADP software a strong asset

Pay Rate  

$24/hour
