About The Opportunity  

  • Provide full payroll support for hourly & salaried employees and unionized employees from onboarding to termination 
  • Update and process payroll adjustments, wage increases, deductions, benefit and bonus payments, calculate stat holiday pay, and employee information changes (new hires, terminations, transfers) 
  • Facilitate payments for Workplace Accident, STD and LTD claims 
  • Maintain the accuracy and organization of both physical and digital employee files 
  • Post each payroll to respective general ledger accounts in the finance system 
  • Review, prepare & balance recurring journal entries for each pay period and company code 
  • Review monthly reconciliations of payroll accounts by company 
  • Process journal entries for adjustments (when required) 
  • Process and remit biweekly garnishments and other support payments 
  • Coordinate with Group Benefits and Pension vendors to update and maintain employee data, claim submissions, remittance vouchers, dependent lists and other report 
  • Prepare supporting pension documentation required by auditors 
  • Maintain Union lists including seniority, and weekly overtime availability lists 
  • Prepare, issue, and/or reconcile remittances, statements, invoices, and reports as required 

About You  

  • 2+ years of full cycle experience with hourly and salaried employees 
  • ADP experience is a must 
  • PCP is a must 
  • Benefits experience is an asset 
  • Unionized is an asset 

Salary 
$70, 000/year
