Payroll Clerk - 2 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity

  • Prepare, enter, and verify data for payroll processing in accordance with company standards and audit requirements
  • Extract, upload or download information through various system interfaces and portals
  • Provide information to other departments and employees on payroll matters through management of the shared Payroll email Inbox and phone line
  • Maintain filing and archiving
  • Other tasks as assigned by managers or senior payroll staff

About You

  • At least 6 months experience working in a clerical role in a business environment
  • Post secondary diploma or degree in payroll, accounting, or a related business program considered an asset
  • Minimum post secondary diploma
  • PCP Certification or PCP Candidate is considered an asset
  • Experience with ADP Pay Specialist is considered an asset
  • Strong data entry and computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Organized, detailed oriented, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong ability to retain information and follow instructions
  • Good interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Team oriented with the ability to take direction or work independently
  • Willingness to learn and take responsibility for own learning
  • Flexible with working hours and have the ability to work additional hours when required to meet strict deadlines

Pay Rate

$#20 - $23/hour
