Payroll and Benefits Lead - 1 Month Contract (Closed)

The Payroll and Benefits Lead, reporting to the Human Resources Manager, is responsible for the end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, associates and contractors. This role is also responsible for continued improvement of the payroll process. Responsibilities include benefit enrollment and administration.

About the Opportunity

  • Establish and maintain payroll records
  • Identify and implement efficient payroll processes and develop new audits to streamline payroll
  • Works with a sense of urgency to ensure payroll completeness and accuracy
  • Effectively communicates to employees, managers, and stakeholders on payroll deadlines to prevent disruption to the payroll process
  • Prepare reports (headcount, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for Management as needed
  • Ability to understand the interaction between the payroll and accounting functions
  • Supports the compensation and commissions teams to ensure seamless processing of bonuses and commission payments
  • Responds to employee inquiries, researches errors or omissions
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Administers benefit program including enrollment, changes and terminations
  • Eager to learn, own their role, and excel at delivering an exceptional client service experience

About You

  • 5+ years of solid experience with payroll processing and time keeping software
  • Experience identifying and implementing improvements to existing payroll processes; development of audits and controls
  • CPM or PCP designation is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and able to prioritize
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience using Ceridian Dayforce
  • Familiar conducting payroll in an organization with multi locations/offices
  • Experience with Benefits Administration
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment, yet also able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Pay Rate

$30 - $35/hour
