Payroll Administrator - 3 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Co-ordinate and input payroll data accurately while ensuring that deadlines are met
• Download, verify and balance time sheets
• Generate payroll, including calculating garnishments, vacation/holiday pay and sick day pay
• Assist with year-end preparation of T4s
• Process new hire files and prepare Records of Employment
• Provide reports for HR and Finance as needed
• Other duties as assigned

About You

• College Diploma in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years’ experience with computerized payroll
• Experience in handling confidential information and working productively in a highly functional team environment
• Ability to plan and complete daily activities with minimal direction and effectively meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail while dealing with payroll data
• Problem solving skills to troubleshoot and get to the root of discrepancies
• Effective verbal and written communication and proficiency with computers, especially MS Excel

Pay Rate

$20 - $24/hour
