About the Opportunity
- Co-ordinate and input payroll data accurately while ensuring that deadlines are met
- Download, verify and balance time sheets
- Generate payroll, including calculating garnishments, vacation/holiday pay and sick day pay
- Assist with year-end preparation of T4s
- Process new hire files and prepare Records of Employment
- Provide reports for HR and Finance as needed
- Other duties as assigned
About You
- College Diploma in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years’ experience with computerized payroll
- Experience in handling confidential information and working productively in a highly functional team environment
- Ability to plan and complete daily activities with minimal direction and effectively meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail while dealing with payroll data
- Problem solving skills to troubleshoot and get to the root of discrepancies
- Effective verbal and written communication and proficiency with computers, especially MS Excel
Pay Rate
$20 - $24/hour
