About the Opportunity

Process biweekly payrolls for both Canada and US in company software
Following up with missing time sheets every week
Serve as liaison with company staff, HR and third parties
Be responsible for banked OT payout and any manual adjustments in Workday
Reconcile Canadian employees’ hours with BST and software time sheets
Audit payroll earnings, deduction, benefit and payroll registers
Assist to prepare monthly payroll reconciliations and reports
Investigate and resolve payroll questions from staff and external parties
Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures and legislative requirements pertaining to payroll
Ensure all government and third-party remittances are paid on time
Ensure that Records of Employment for terminated employees are generated accurately.
Handle WSIB/Health Tax inquiry and monthly or quarterly payments
Reconcile WCB and Health tax payments to the general ledger
Enter Journal Entries when required
Assist in the annual process of T4s/ W2s
Prepare year-end audit schedules related to payroll
Assist with other duties as assigned

About You

Degree or Diploma in a related field
5+ years of Canadian and US payroll experience in high volume, full-cycle environments
PCP certification
Possess excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with a variety of payroll software

Pay Rate

$19 - $23/hour
