Payroll Administrator (Closed)

About the Opportunity

  • Responsible for the processing of 4 biweekly payrolls using UltiPro software
  • Review and verify data to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and statutory requirements, employment agreements, payroll policies and procedures
  • Process expense reimbursements and current/retro payments for salary/rate changes as required
  • Validate that deductions and adjustments are correctly processed, and calculate manual gross to net payments when necessary
  • Process ROE’s
  • Reconcile group benefit deductions and RRSP contributions against provider enrolment and participation records
  • Respond to queries
  • Contact payroll provider for any related issues with pay as needed
  • Create new hire files and manage filing for documents received in payroll
  • Process T4 and all related year-end activities
  • Other duties as assigned

About You

  • At least 3 years' work experience as a payroll administrator
  • Solid expertise with online payroll management systems is required; UltiPro payroll experience is preferred
  • Thorough understanding of group benefits programs and their administration
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required
  • Impeccable accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (listening, verbal and written)
  • "Can-do" attitude, strong client/customer service orientation
  • Highly effective organizational skills, combined with the ability to multitask and prioritize on a daily and weekly basis to meet set and changing deadlines
  • High degree of business and personal sensitivity, utmost discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong problem-solving skills


$55,000 - $65,000/year
