Payroll Accounting Analyst - 6 month temp to perm (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Process payroll journal entries for multiple entities and work closely with payroll team on all payroll related financial transactions, initiatives, audits
• Reconcile Ceridian register to system
• Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for all payroll accounts
• Perform vacation accrual adjustments
• Conduct regular analysis of payroll data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Partner and lead process improvement initiatives to ensure efficiency is an ongoing focus for the payroll function
• Provide support for project work and other duties as required
• Support the corporate accounting team with other ad hoc projects/tasks

About You

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in full cycle payroll accounting in mid to large size organizations
• Post-secondary Education with a focus on Administration and/or Accounting preferred
• General knowledge of Canadian and US employment law and payroll legislation, including multi-provincial payroll requirements
• Experience with and or working knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce is preferred, large ERP experience is required
• Experience with unionized and or manufacturing payroll environment is an asset

Pay Rate

$30 - $35/hour
