Payroll Accounting Analyst - 12 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Prepare corporate accruals, account reconciliations and clear reconciling items (Payroll and other balance sheet accounts)
  • Prepare journal entries related to payroll accounting and reconcile Payroll accounts in coordination with Payroll team
  • Coordinate with Payroll team on disbursements/payments they record versus what is recorded in SAP
  • Respond to inquiries related to Payroll accounting
  • Assist in the preparation of tax schedules as required
  • Prepare and review journal entries
  • Prepare external audit schedules
  • Preparation of income tax schedules
  • Support the preparation of year-end financial statements
  • Work on special projects as assigned

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • Enrolment in CPA is an asset
  • 3-5 years of Finance/Accounting experience
  • Strong Payroll Accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP is required
  • Manufacturing industry or shared services experience an asset
  • Working knowledge and use of office productivity tools (MS Office, Gmail, Google, etc.)
  • Strong Excel skills are mandatory (able to handle a large volume of transactions)
