About the Company

Our client is an experienced submetering provider, and they are looking to hire a Full-Time Network & Security Manager.

About the Opportunity

• The Network and Security Manager will coordinate and manage with internal & external partners and third-party managed services provider(s)
• The External Networking Service Provider manages the architected network infrastructure
• Provide hands on direction and administration of the network system, looking for architectural opportunities to improve the system, and providing Tier 2 support for both the on-prem infrastructure (Aruba Networks. Aruba Central is used to manage their on-prem WAN devices) and Cloud Network support (they are moving to cloud (Azure Virtual Network)
• Tier 1 support is provided by the Service Provider, and they will provide monitoring tools for the Manager to use
• The manager will use a ticketing system for their Tier 2 support
• Management of all on-premise network equipment and configuration including administration of corporate firewalls, routers, switches as well as cloud virtual network, VPN and enterprise Wireless infrastructure 
• Monitor networks, respond to threats, design and implement safeguards, communicate security issues to management 
• Management and administration of SD-WAN infrastructure 
• Management and administration of Azure virtual network infrastructure 
• Administration and configuration, of network monitoring and analysis tools 
• Document operational processes and troubleshooting guides to support client services and operational staff
• Build, improve and maintain system and networking documentation, diagrams, and inventory 
• Maintain and support both business and IT Service Level Agreements and KPI’s, in regard to network uptime and reliability
• Monitor and resolve incident and problem tickets as they relate to network and security issues 
• Work collaboratively with vendors and partners to troubleshoot and resolve network issues 
• Provide hands-on network administration support, network maintenance and operations support as the need arises 
• Participate and be responsible for design and layout of structured cabling for network infrastructure
• Research, recommend and assist in the development of new security tools
• Provide rotational on-call support outside of regular business hours

About You

• 2+ years of demonstrated ability supporting routing and switching in an Aruba based network environment that includes voice, video and data
• Minimum of 2 years of experience of firewall, load balancers and proxy server administration 
• Must have working experience with Active Directory, Azure Cloud products, Azure Active Directory, Office 365, and Microsoft Teams
• Experience working with vendors/Service Providers
• 2-4 years of employment in an IT security related position where cyber threat hunting and mitigation is a core activity
• Practical experience with conducting risk assessments and testing of controls
• Previous experience with cloud based SOCaaS (Security Operations Center as a Service) products is an asset
• Nice to have: Knowledge and hands-on experience with key components of cybersecurity including: Cyber Assessments and road-mapping, network & infrastructure security, cyber transformation, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, security governance, risk and compliance, security architecture, data protection, privacy, security awareness and cloud security

Salary

$95,000/year
