About the Opportunity

  • Review and analyze material requirements daily to enable the creation of purchase orders and warehouse transfers
  • Ensure system data integrity regarding item forecast, supplier lead times, and other critical order and replenishment parameters
  • Drive best-in-class customer fill rates while ensuring optimal levels of inventory
  • Monitor inventory levels and sales trends, then take the appropriate action to minimize the risk of obsolescence.  Inventory returns, PO cancellations, internal transfers, etc. 
  • Maintain relationships with a defined set of suppliers, establishing a foundation of trust, open communication, and accountability
  • Set expectations with suppliers regarding communication, performance, responsiveness, and other key facets of the working relationship
  • Participate in meetings with key suppliers and to provide feedback on performance and set improvement targets for the future
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers, working collaboratively to resolve problems and take advantage of opportunities
  • Play a key role in the business change management process, phasing in new items and phasing out the old
  • Support the expediting team with escalations related to critical items, shortages, and customers
  • Support the expediting team with escalations related to receiving discrepancies (i.e., overages, shortages, damaged)
  • Other duties as assigned

About You:

  • University or College degree in the field of Business/Supply Chain Management/Engineering or other relevant discipline 
  • 3+ years of Supply Chain related experience, preferably in a distribution environment 
  • Excellent command of Microsoft tools, specifically Excel (i.e., Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, etc.) 
  • In-depth experience using a business ERP system such as Epicor, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven ability to analyze data trends with the use of reporting tools (ex. Excel) and initiate action from findings
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • You possess both the ability to think strategically and the diligence to execute tactically
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Hourly Rate 
Up to $35/hour
