Our client is a large and growing asset manager. They are looking to hire a Manager, Reporting & Advisory who will have primary responsibilities for financial policies and guidelines impacting the company’s financial reporting requirements.

About the Opportunity

• Lead corporate financial policies, procedures and guidelines
• Develop best practices reporting under IFRS for periodic and annual financial statements and disclosures for all entities, investment pool funds, and client subsidiary investment entities
• Prepare, research and analyze complex accounting transactions related to front office investment deals by preparing detailed memos with supporting recommendations.
• Liaise with the Investment Operations team to obtain supporting information related to financial reporting of investment entities holding various private asset classes and pooled structures
• Analyze the financial results required for various internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure appropriate working papers are in place to support financial reporting, and all process and control documentation is up to date for audit purposes
• Provide accounting advice to the investment teams and member clients on new or existing private investment structures
• Advise on ledger systems and chart of accounts to ensure continuous enhancement of financial reporting and disclosures in an effective and efficient manner
• Provide recommendations on process improvement initiatives and participate in special projects as assigned

About You

• CPA
• 8+ years of related industry experience (preferably in asset management or financial institutions) with a background in public accounting/auditing
• Financial Reporting experience from industry

Salary Range 

$105,000 - $115,000/year
