Manager, Operations Financial Control

About the Company 

Our client is a large automotive parts company. They are looking for a Manager, Operations Financial Control. This role will partner with warehouse leadership team to help drive process improvements around inventory packaging and reception, Inventory movement across warehouses, and provide key insights for any control’s gaps related to the day-to-day operations across all shifts.

About the Opportunity 

• Understand and analyze the build-up of weight average cost, inventory adjustments, returns process, movement of inventory across multiple virtual warehouses and its impact on general ledger. 
• Work closely with cross functional teams to provide bill of material analysis, inventory reception controls (3-Way match), packaging & work order process gaps, short ship to customers & country of origin analysis on shipped items 
• Analyze the impact of each warehouse operation across multiple facilities on inventory value; identify instances where standard operations procedures are not followed and work with operations team to provide corrective measures 
• Create & monitor performance metrics for key warehouse operations across facilities and partner with warehouse managers to improve performance. 
• Create work instructions where needed & facilitate creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations 
• Regularly walk through the site floors to perform operational process audits and work with shift supervisors to maintain compliance with operating procedures across all shifts 
• Collaborate with the Information Technology team and participate in ERP improvement initiatives 
• Work closely with operations & third-party customs brokers to audit and monitor US shipments with customs documentation, identify discrepancy and work with internal team to resolve issues 

About You 

• CPA or MBA would be an asset 
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience 
• Previous hands-on related Inventory and costing experience is a must have 
• Experience with Operations and Controls

Salary Range 

$115,000 to $130,000/year
