About the Opportunity
- Canada and US biweekly payroll preparation and submission
- Administration and management of all Employee Benefit programs for the USA and Canada
- All statutory reporting relating to Canada and US payroll taxes and EI
- Manage the hiring process
- Manage all aspects of employee relations ensuring full compliance with applicable employment legislations and internal employee policies
- Design, implement and deliver onboarding and training programs for new hires
- Provide administrative support related to HR programs and policies
- Prepare documents for new employees, including offer letters, benefit packages and payroll documents
- Administer terminations
- Ensure that the compensation policies and initiatives are aligned with the national compensation guidelines
- Oversee organizational design and structure
- Handles employee relations activities, and policies
- Prepare and administer Employment agreements
- Manage HR and payroll vendor contracts
- HR lead in driving change management
- Assist with senior employee travel arrangements
- Assist with arranging company functions
- Present a positive and highly professional image through the embodiment of the corporate vision, organizational Values, and through HR policies and programs
- Perform other administrative duties as required to assist the CFO
About You
- 10 years USA and Canadian payroll experience
- Human Resources/Payroll certification
- Strong knowledge of relevant HR legislation and regulation in Canada and USA
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Microsoft Dynamic NAVISION experience would be considered an asset
- CONCUR expense report management experience would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated success with solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated experience with handling difficult, sensitive and sometimes highly emotional situations professionally; proven ability to handle and mediate conflict
- Great organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
- Strength in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with employees at all levels
- Ability to work independently
Salary
$70,000 - $90,000/year
