Manager of Financial Reporting (Closed)

Our client is looking for an interim Manager of Financial Reporting to assist them for a 6 month contract. 

About the Opportunity

• Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting including the financial statements and required regulatory filings
• Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures in compliance with IFRS and / or US GAAP
• Preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages in collaboration with Real Estate Property Accounting and Private Markets Operations team
• Assist with the coordination of the annual audit and work directly with external auditors
• Review and check accuracy and completeness of the information provided by internal operations and reporting teams
• Assist in the preparation of the Board reporting package on a quarterly basis and supporting financial analysis as required
• Strong focus on collaboration and relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
• Use appropriate judgment in dealing with issues and requests, demonstrating an ability to effectively prioritize work and determine solutions
• Provide valuable financial analysis and review results for reasonability
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and new initiatives within the department

About You

•  CPA Designated
• 6-7 years of related business experience and experience analyzing financial statements
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures under IFRS and / or US GAAP
•  Excellent ability to communicate both written and verbally
• Advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel and other MS office tools (e.g. Word and PowerPoint to develop reports, documents and presentations)
• Strong attention to detail and aptitude to learn
• Collaborative and be able to motivate different business units and supporting functions
• Well organized and initiative to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Flexibility to work extra hours as needed while working under tight deadlines
• Experience with Yardi system is considered an asset
• Real Estate or Private Equity industry experience is a strong plus

Pay Rate

$50/hour
