Manager, Financial Reporting and Corporate Accounting

About the Company

Our client is a publicly traded real estate company located in downtown Toronto, and has a portfolio of over 130 commercial properties located in Canada and in several regions internationally. They have been experiencing significant growth in the last two years, yet continue to have an entrepreneurial feel and offer a fantastic opportunity for the selected candidate to become an integral part of the company’s corporate finance and accounting team. 


About the Opportunity  

  • Manage one Senior Corporate Accountant
  • Oversee the corporate accounting of all entities
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly financial statements and MD&A, including financial statement notes and MD&A analysis relevant to the Company
  • Prepare the consolidation of the Company's entities
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly board presentation slides
  • Assist with weekly preparation of rolling 6 week cash flow
  • Assist in the annual budget process

About You

  • Designated CPA, CA
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with financial reporting
  • Experience with managing / supervising at least 1 direct report
  • Experience with consolidations and exposure to external financial reporting and MD&A
  • Must be flexible, hands-on, and prepared to roll up their sleeves, in a rapidly paced environment.
  • Exposure to real estate and IFRS 
  • Proven strong organizational and multi-tasking
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Word
  • Exposure and previous experience with Yardi is an asset
