They are currently looking for a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis who will be accountable for the end-to-end financial forecasting, planning/ budgeting processes, operating plan variance analyses, medium and long-term investor return analysis, and supporting key strategic projects across our funds and portfolio.

About the Opportunity 

  • Financial Planning & Analysis 
  • Ownership of budgets, projections and financial analysis across a variety of funds (income fund, co-invest entities, land fund, development funds, construction funds, etc.) 
  • Create, re-vamp and lead current budgeting and forecasting processes/templates from the inception of deal creation, through to purchase, land and construction development and ultimate stabilization into an income producing asset or end sale 
  • Analyze current and past trends in KPIs including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures for projects under development 
  • Gather information from various internal/external resources to develop and enhance financial models, standardize models throughout the process and leverage ERP budget to actual analysis 
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variances 
  • Support and implement formal quarterly project budget reviews (PBR’s) through a ground up process that is scalable across multiple projects for both wholly owned and joint venture development projects – this would be working closely with the Joint Venture Finance Team. 
  • Manage the reporting, budgeting and forecasting of project and fund performance through metrics such as returns, operating returns, IRR, ROIC, MOIC, FFO, AFFO and yield, etc. 
  • Assisting in ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic and financing and operating decisions 
  • Large focus on managing the budget cycle with financial resources within the land and construction Working with the Reporting team to build our reporting and forecasting infrastructure for investor reporting and presentation decks for asset and fund portfolio models 
  •  Life-of-fund reporting, 5 year, 10 year forecasted returns for various funds and investor profiles 
  • Review and improve fund models and project return models for real estate, leveraging the models and knowledge from existing practices and other sister divisions. 
  • Prepare in-depth analyses of business results using IRR, MOIC and other metrics such as FFO, AFFO. 
  • Create/maintain models around cash flow, equity, debt based on agreements and operations input 
  • Working with our Debt team in understanding equity and capital structures that would affect financial returns and KPIs 
  • Help optimize Carry Interest (profit share) for the Asset Manager and align investor with the company 
  • Fund and Investor Reporting, Total Portfolio Return 
  • Valuations 
  • Accountability of quarterly and annual valuations process with our internal valuation resources and external valuators (e.g. CBRE, other 3rd party valuators) 
  •  Managing the end-to-end process, scheduling/tracking valuations needed based on business needs and requirements of various agreements, financial reporting and investor requirements 
  • Work with the departments and the external valuators to ensure the company’s interest are best served 

About You 

  • CPA 
  • 4+ years of experience working in leadership roles in the private equity, asset/fund management, real estate/infrastructure investment or pension space. 
  • Understanding of risk factors in Real Estate Development, experience with working with land, development and construction teams in an FP&A capacity 

Salary Range 

$105,000 to $115,000/year
