Manager, Financial Reporting (Closed)

Our client is a small organization with a large AUM in the asset management industry. They are looking to hire a Manager, Financial Reporting to be responsible for creating and preparing IFRS financial statements as well as have responsibilities for all pool-related and client-investment legal entities.

About the Opportunity

• Prepare period end and annual statutory financial results, note disclosures, reporting packages and financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Work closely with the Director, Financial Reporting & Advisory and in consultation with Corporate Controller
• Assist the Director, Financial Reporting & Advisory and corporate finance senior leaders in analyzing the financial results required for various internal and external stakeholders.
•  Interact with the Investment Finance team to obtain supporting information for insightful financial reporting of investment entities holding various private asset classes and pooled structures.
• Create accounting models and guides for investment finance teams for implementing new standards, policies or complex investments.
• Ensure appropriate working papers are in place to support financial reporting, and all process and control documentation is up to date for audit purposes.
• Take the lead in supporting the Director, Financial Reporting & Advisory in the development and updating of appropriate accounting and financial reporting policies and procedures that affect corporate finance
• Develop and update accounting policies in accordance with IFRS standards
• Provide accounting advice to the investment teams on new or existing private investment structures.

About You

• CPA 
• 8+ years of related industry experience (preferably in asset management or financial institutions) with a background in public accounting/auditing
• Asset/Investment Management experience
• Strong working external financial reporting experience (MD&A, annual reports, technical accounting)

Salary Range

$100,000 - $110,000/year
