About the Opportunity
- Lead financial and accounting process for all of our global management company entities, including Canada, USA, Europe and others.
- Work closely with key Finance leadership and other stakeholders across our global platform as new projects and entities are formed
- Manage all monthly, quarterly and year-end closings, including account reconciliations, accrual schedules and general journal entries, ensuring that reconciliations are performed accurately and on-time
- Owns the GL and recording of all business transactions, including detailed analysis and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts, while ensuring compliance with local accounting requirements and internal policies.
- Lead accounting for complex structures and transactions in the private equity and alternative asset space
- Prepare the quarterly IFRS financial statements and reporting.
- Be responsible for the accounting and operation process, leading cash management, expense reporting and other ad-hoc reporting.
- Support analysis related to a range of accounting operations and policy matters.
- Provide support during audit hard close and year-end processes.
- Stock based compensation tracking and reporting
- Ensure full compliance with the finance statutes of the Legal Agreement and controls formulated for key processes.
- Improve the real-time flow of critical information across key internal partners.
- Data analysis needed for the corporate accounting team Provide ad-hoc data requests for internal partners, including legal, consolidation team, the investment team, and others.
- Oversee the entities tax compliance process, specifically working with tax consultants to calculate book to tax allocations and ensure tax returns are filed timely in accordance with the legal agreement and local tax authority.
- Get involved or lead in special projects
About You
- CPA
- 8 years of relevant work experience involving technical accounting and preparing financial statements
- Preferred experience in the financial services sector, ideally in the alternative asset management sector
Salary Range
$125,000 - $140,000/year
