Our client is a Canadian manufacturer supplying the foodservice industry. They are looking for a Manager, Commercial Finance who will be responsible for supporting the management of Sales of daily business operations and financial integrity through preparation of financial plans, verifying assumptions and reporting on the financial execution of approved business plans.

About the Opportunity
- Support the Sales VPs with strategy and tactics around pricing and margin achievement of short term and Long Term Plan (LTP) revenue goals
- Manage the goals relating to margin and mix
- Evaluating plans across customers and products
- Support pricing management along with promotional deals / trade spends for all customers
- Provide data analysis (ROI), tracking and support for client pricing / promotion requests
- Win/loss evaluation for insights and early indicators for competitor, customer, and market moves
- Manage aspects of financial planning and reporting management inclusion of annual contract planning, key performance indicator development, financial performance reporting and analysis and financial modeling with a focus on Sales.
- Maintaining system integrity e.g. Power BI for sales in sync with monthly reported numbers.
- Partner with sales leadership to deliver sales analyst projects that enable the business to execute its highest priority initiatives
- Forecasting - Analyze and monitor KPI’s to assist sales team achievement of timelines and accuracy
- Sales Funnels / Activity Trackers and Budget Support
- Develop and manage tools to effectively execute strategic priorities / corporate initiatives and champion within the organization
- Provide revenue outlook and insight as part of long term plan and annual planning / budget processes
- Leverage data to conduct in-depth analyses across areas of the business (e.g. key customers / regions / product lines) to develop an understanding of key value drivers, identifying improvement areas and growth opportunities
- Develop relevant KPIs and performance tracking
- Lead, coach and develop colleagues including providing feedback and conducting formal evaluations to ensure the right resource skills, competencies and expertise exists to meet department and agreed-upon business objectives of the company
- Drive for harmonization, efficiencies and improvement to ways of working and build a mindset of continuous improvement within the Finance team
About You
- CPA designation and completion of university degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience (3 years in an FP&A role)
- Supervisory or managerial experience
- Experience in CPG, Manufacturing, or Retail environment an asset
Salary Range
$100,000 - $125,000/year
