Our client is a leading investment management company specializing in a multitude of asset classes through a network of unique portfolios. They are currently looking for a Manager, Accounting Policy and Advisory who will play a pivotal role in providing accounting advise and preparing documentation to support the accounting conclusions under IFRS

About the Opportunity

• Perform IFRS accounting control assessments under IFRS 10, IFRS 11, IFRS 12 and IAS 28
• Prepare purchase price allocation and related entries for new and existing acquisitions under IFRS 3
• Calculate and record minority interests
• Assist in providing timely, accurate and value-added accounting advise on various complex accounting issues such as new deals, transaction under IFRS to stakeholders
• Translate and communicate complex accounting topics to stakeholders, recognizing and anticipating potential opportunities and recommending changes
• Perform accounting research on various topics under IFRS in order to provide accounting advise
• Assist in impairment testing as per IFRS requirements
• Write accounting position papers on various technical accounting topics
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and notes for various companies on the platform
• Assist in the external audit of the various entities. This includes, but is not limited to, communicating with the auditors, providing various items/analysis requested by the auditors and completing disclosure checklists

About You

• CPA
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience involving technical accounting preferably in  IFRS
• Experience in the financial services sector ideally in the alternative asset management sector is an asset

Salary Range

$100,000 - $120,000/year
