Manager, Accounting (Closed)

About the Company

Our client is publicly traded company who manufactures medical devices. They are looking for a Manager, Accounting responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing all accounting processes and procedures for the business.

About the Opportunity

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Ensure financial statements and related journal entries are completed timely and accurately
• Ensure that monthly account reconciliations are performed accurately, completely, and on time.
• Manage/supervise accounting operations including - Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Fixed Assets, Cash, and Intercompany Accounting
• Implement robust internal controls, monitoring compliance, and maintenance of adequate documentation
• Oversee corporate card program for travel related expenses
• Support the coordination of corporate tax working papers on a timely and accurate basis
• Work with Finance Director, internal tax partners and external tax consultants on annual corporate tax filings and reporting
• Remain current on business decisions including review of certain contracts and agreements in order to proactively address critical related accounting issues
• Manage the audit process and serve as the local Audit Leader
• Implement process and procedural improvements to optimize the workflow within the department

About You

• CPA
• 5-7 years experience in a similar role
• People management experience
• Working experience with FP&A and process improvement is an asset

Salary Range

$90,000 - $105,000/year
