We are hiring a Web Development Team lead to help guide a team of 4 developers. This is primarily a lead engineering role with a requirement to provide strong solution architecture expertise and guidance to the internal team which works on external client projects utilizing PHP and Magento.

About the Opportunity

  • Analyze, understand and solve problems for both current and future state client needs
  • Architect and implement forward-thinking solutions to meet client requirements
  • Oversee and provide technical guidance to a team of 4 developers, reviewing and writing code
  • Support requirements creation, definition, and understanding amongst all team members (along with a Project Manager on client projects)
  • Create solid, clear, and comprehensive technical designs, along with estimating and planning implementations
  • Collaborate with client and internal team members to support overall delivery
  • Write clean, modular, robust code to implement requirements with little or no supervision
  • Work with the QA and Support teams to triage and fix bugs with rapid turnaround
  • Perform thorough quality analysis of requirements and code before going live
  • Research new integration and plug-in capabilities

About You

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Solid communication and analytical skills, client-facing experience is a plus
  • 6-8+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of experience with PHP and Magento (CMS and Ecommerce)
  • Strong experience with of the following: PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, HTML, CSS, APIs, Magento
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and operating as a formal or informal team lead
  • Deep understanding of Magento architecture, design, theming, functional enhancements, optimization and integration methods
  • Ability to develop API integrations between Magento and other platforms (CRM, ERP, etc)
  • Knowledge of how to identify and execute performance optimizations
  • Experience with full lifecycle of software development including use of version control tools, build management, unit testing, issue tracking software (i.e. GitHub, Confluence, JIRA)
  • Excellent organizational skills, self-administration, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and effective prioritization

Salary

$80,000 - $100,000/year
