About the Opportunity

  • Work with the Senior PM to define project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Develop project plans and associated communications documents for all levels of the organization
  • Prepare costing, coordinate design layouts and drawings for internal client review discussions and stakeholder sign-off
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion to ensure that everyone is on the same page
  • Set and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using the appropriate project management and business tools
  • Track project milestones and deliverables while continuing to develop best practices and tools for project execution
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Assist with the procurement of design and consulting fee proposals, coordinate the design, drawings, approvals and manage various projects including inventory facilities
  • Coordinate and assist with various internal departments to ensure that the following are the focus of the project teams:
    • communicating project status and budgets
    • maintaining all project cost sheets
    • documentation and file in accordance with Operations and Development process and best practices, procedures and internal reporting requirements
  • Commission and supervise work of external consulting team to ensure accuracy and that documents are consistent with the company needs and policies
  • Coordinate all work of contractors to ensure company is being best served
  • Execute and deliver projects on time and within budget

About You

  • University degree or college diploma preferably in Architecture, Landscape Design, Horticulture Sciences or related field of study
  • 3+ years previous project management experience within an architectural firm, landscaping company, or similar industry
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Strong leadership and negotiating skills
  • Strong ability to work with and often direct department staff to ensure the success of the project
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite as well as Microsoft Teams
  • Strong organizational, customer service and reporting skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to effectively manage multiple projects at a given time of varying complexity and budget
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities while reacting promptly and efficiently
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize duties, to meet deadlines and the ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team
  • Superior attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • Ability to travel by air across Canada
