Junior Accountant - 8 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity

  • Code and process all accounts payable and expense reports in a timely manner ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with Association policies, procedures and best practices
  • Perform the day-to-day processing of accounts receivable transactions
  • Prepare sales/services invoices for individual and corporate customers
  • Calculate and remit GST/HST payments to appropriate Government agency
  • Maintain and update investment transactions monthly, and in accordance with accounting guidelines, calculate investment gains (losses), both realized and unrealized

About You

  • Minimum post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in a discipline, such as, accounting, business administration or office management
  • Strong knowledge of Quickbooks
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Gmail
  • At least two years in a member services environment providing intermediate accounting services and working in senior administrative support roles

Pay Rate

$20 - $25/hour
