Junior Accountant - 1 Year Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Work closely with Senior Accountant and Manager, Accounting on Accounts Payable, Payroll, Bank Reconciliations and bookkeeping
• Set up development projects in Accounting software; manage invoices; ensure HST recorded
• Allocate cash funding to bank accounts; prepare wire transfers
• Manage bank account set up, wires, transfers, cash balances, and overall treasury process
• Prepare monthly journal entries, including payroll and benefits
• Manage the fixed assets ledger and monthly depreciation schedule
• Performed month-end account close procedures and reconciliations of general ledger accounts
• Prepare general ledger entries and provide proper supporting documentation for annual audit
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financials are appropriately stated
• Special projects as assigned by Management

About You

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or Business related field
• 2+ years experience performing similar duties
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exposure to large Accounting software
• Very strong attention to detail
• Work independently with minimal supervision

Pay Rate

$50,000/year
